The Atmosphere of Eid al-Fitr in hometown

Thrusday, June 13, 2019

The Eid al-Fitr had arrived. After undergoing fasting for approximately one month, Muslims throughout the world welcomed the victory day of Eid al-Fitr.
A number of traditions in welcoming the day of victory were carried out differently by a number of cities. Depends on their respective culture.
Most people in Indonesia celebrate holidays in their respective hometowns. One of them was myself who enjoy Eid-Fitri  in my hometown in Tahunan, Jepara. The first thing we did after prayer was forgiving one another with my little family. This was very fun because on this day I could gather with the whole family because I had had weeks to live outside the city to study. After that we had breakfast together, of course with special dishes that we rarely find other than moments, namely Eid Fitri, chicken opor and rice cake.

Finally, after being satisfied gathering with the family, neighbors, and the food we decided to visit relatives and colleagues who were a little farther away.
